Merck announced a voluntary worldwide withdrawal of VIOXX® on September 30, 2004. Why have so many lawyers been advertising for Vioxx cases? Liability against Merck is very strong because there are documents proving that Merck knew about the increased risk of heart attack and cardiovascular problems long before they withdrew Vioxx, yet failed to warn of the danger.
